SQL SERVER- Guidelines and Coding Standards – Best Practices

Few days back our senior project manager Ashish joshi asked me to prepare a document for SQL Server Guidelines. As you all know this is really a very tough topic, we need to analyze more on guidelines which we are presenting. I had done some analysis and prepared the document. Really this was very interesting Experience for me. This is the first time I am uploading a document in SQLINFO.

Hi Varun,
SQL formatting is my favorite subject and wrote a tool to help SQL developpers and DBA to create clean code. It is also helpful when you get others people SQL or SQL generated by a tool e.g. COGNOS to quickly format the SQL in ad standardised way. Its name is SQLinForm and I hope you find it useful

I am your old friend can u remember me. When we are worked together in Iware Solutions Infopark, then u discovered a solutions to give store procedure name from ‘sp’ to ‘usp’ prefix. I forget the thing why u gave it and change the prefix. Will u please describe it form Me…
